Spring Yosemite Workshop - March 17-20th 2011

We will meet in Yosemite Valley for an amazing weekend of photographing amazing Yosemite Valley during the spring runoff season with the rising full moon. Josh will be working directly with each and every individual to help with composition, technique, camera settings, and lighting. Josh has photographed and guided in Yosemite for many years and knows exactly where to go to find the best conditions and lighting.

  • DAY ONE: Meet in the Valley after sunset for introductions, and a slideshow introducing the area as well as technique. We do the slide show late enough to allow people time to shoot the sunset on their way to the workshop.
  • DAY TWO & THREE: We will rise early to shoot sunrise at key locations around the valley and work until a mid day lunch break. After lunch we will work on post processing with instruction until we will head back into the field until sunset and moon rise. Depending on conditions we may even shoot the rising full moon over key valley formations. After dinner we will review the days images.
  • DAY FOUR: We will shoot from sunrise until the workshop concludes at noon.

Details:

Price: $725 includes personal photo instruction and all image review sessions. Lodging is not included and should be arranged upon booking to get the best possible rate. A 50% non-refundable deposit due upon booking and the balance is due 30 days before trip. Student to instructor ratio no more than 6 to 1.

Transportation: The workshop begins in Yosemite Valley. Participants are responsible for their own transportation during the workshop, but people often carpool once in the valley.

Meals: Meals are not included, but the group will most likely eat meals as a group.
